Students in an environmental science class at the Academy of College and Career Exploration [1]spread grass seed over nearly an acre of land behind the school that was once a parking lot.
The seed planting is part of a larger effort to help make the school more environmentally friendly. Last summer members of the Vans Warped Tour helped rip up the asphalt [2] to begin the project.
The grass spreading was part of a sustainable/organic lawn care workshop put on by Pearl's Premium [3] Chief Operating Officer Jenifer Apaidis in partnership with Blue Water Baltimore.
